Founded in 1963, ADK is one of the most renowned and almost certainly one of the oldest language schools in Augsburg. We have specialised in teaching German as a foreign language right from the start.

Who are we?

We are a private language institute and we are proud of our high standard of teaching and the personal touch. In 1995 we took over the school from the former director ADK is the oldest and most famous language school in Augsburg. ADK Augsburger Deutschkurse has been here since 1963, and has always had the same  name 

We are a family of professional linguists and teachers and feel that we understand the difficulties foreign learners face using German at work and in their free time better than most. We are personally involved in the school at every level – a degree of commitment which is feasible in a school of our size. Our methods are the best there are for learning German fast and effectively. Our staff and teachers will make your stay at Augsburger Deutschkurse an experience to remember, one that will prove invaluable to your future. our school feels like one big family, and all our teachers have worked with us for many years. They are all highly qualified, experienced and have a relevant University degree. We really care about all our students, and we are available any time they need our help or support.

Sabine Steinacher and Bernd Weichlein, the school's directors, are always there to welcome you in the office.

Office hours are Monday to Friday 9am-3pm. (including lunchtime).

Where are we?

We are situated in the city centre, just a few minutes' walk from Königsplatz, the main train station and the city market. 12 classrooms and 3 cafeterias on 3 levels are available. During the break you can socialise, make friends and have tea or coffee. FREE WIFI available for our students!

There are currently students from over 30 countries learning German in 14 different classes at our school.
