If you have learned German before you can start a course on any Monday after a placement test and a short interview. No enrolment fee or extra costs. We offer prospective students free placement tests.

ADK German courses in Augsburg

To learn a language effectively, it's really important that you are put in a group with other students that have the same level of German as you. This is why we email all new students a placement test before they arrive, to find out exactly what their current level of German is. On the first day of the course you will be placed into a course that is right for you, based on your test results.

ADK German courses: Dates and fees 2025

Learn German at ADK an accredited private language school

 High standards of quality, excellent value for money. We offer courses on all levels from A1 to C1, and students with previous knowledge of German can start courses every Monday after a placement test. New beginner classes for learners without previous knowledge of German every 4 weeks.

  • Course duration: minimum 2 weeks
  • Classes: 5 45-minute lessons per day,  5 days a week (25 lessons per week)
  • Minimum age in the Adult Program: 18 years old
  • Levels: basic, intermediate, advanced
  • Starting dates: throughout the year

Accommodation for students in our intensive courses

Homestay Accommodation - single room in a Host Family from €210 per week including meals

In Augsburg, staying with a host family will make you will feel right at home and enjoy an authentic German experience during your language course in Augsburg. Bavarian hospitality, traditions, customs and especially the food are famous the world over.

Age range: 16+,

Distance from school: 10-25 minutes   

Arrival: Sunday afternoon    

Departure: Saturday morning

Room type: Single room

Shared  bathroom with the host and/or other students

We cannot guarantee private bathrooms for guests in host families. If you require a private bathroom, we will be happy to book a hotel room for you.

Our hosts are families and individuals who enjoy getting to know people from all over the world. Our staff take special care when choosing individuals and host families to ensure our students enjoy a friendly and welcoming atmosphere where they can practice speaking German at home. We visit our hosts regularly and many have years of experience hosting our students.  Around 2 weeks before you arrive, you will be placed with a host family profile, and given their contact details and other important information.

Accommodation with host Families starts at € 210 per week for single room. You can choose either half-board (breakfast and dinner) or full board (breakfast, packed lunch and dinner). You will share the bathroom.  You will not have access to the kitchen.

If things aren't going will with your host, and you don't get along well, please speak to our staff, and we'll try to find you alternative accommodation. If you have allergies, please let us know when you register (at the latest) so we can take this into consideration when finding you accommodation.

The following allergies can be accommodated:

  • Pet hair allergies: let us know whether you can stay with host families with pets.
  • Vegetarian meals, or meals without pork, for example can be provided at no additional cost.
  • Food allergies and intolerances, for example, lactose intolerance or gluten sensitivity, require a surcharge of €35 per week.

Please note: shared rooms are only available if you travel with a companion.

German summer school for teenagers: Intensive courses and leisure programme

Please note:we have to cancel the Junior program for 2025 therefore we are unable to accept enrolments.

Improve your German in in Germany ! ADK Augsburger Deutschkurse an international language school specialised in teaching German as a Foreign language.

Our students take lessons in the morning and experience the local culture and practice German with native speakers after school. We offer an exciting language learning experience in Augsburg, Germany and help you to immerse yourself in the local culture.

ADK offers international summer courses and arranges homestays with friendly German host families. The programme includes meals, German lessons in the morning, and activities and trips in the afternoon
